We rarely see snow here in foothills of North Carolina. I live 100 mile from the mountains and 200 miles from the ocean. We usually have our coldest weather in February and March. We rarely see temperatures below 30. So far we have been having some really cold temperatures here reaching down in the teens.
We had some snow flurries last week and we had a dusting of snow yesterday. But check out these photos taken by some friends and family from the Coast. Yes, our beaches had snow. This is very rare so they were really excited. They had up to 3 inches is some places. I would have loved to see the beach in the snow. I can’t get down there now so I enjoyed it from the photos.
My family all live near Wilmington, NC and they were telling me they had snow yesterday; of course we have more snow and colder temps but we're well used to that here in New England!
ReplyDeleteNew England? Wow yes I bet it is cold there. Brrrrrr
DeleteMust be quite a treat for people who aren't used to snow to see it. :) The pictures are lovely.
ReplyDeleteHahah yes we go all crazy here and everything shuts down at the smallest flurry.
DeleteThanks for the pictures. I have never saw snow at the beach. I did enjoy the pictures. Stay warm and hug Saint Nick close....
ReplyDeleteMe either Jack . Only pictures. One day I hope to see it live
DeleteSnow on the beach sounds magical!
ReplyDeleteThe photos you shared are beautiful. I wish I could have seen them in person.
It's hot, humid, and sunny here in my corner of the world.
I’d be glad to trade places. I love the warm/hot days.
DeleteHusband and I started going to myrtle beach a couple of winters ago for 2 weeks to escape the cold in New Jersey. We usually go in February. We live on an island here unfortunately we can’t go this year he is dealing with a serious surgery this winter. Sigh 😔 I really enjoyed the pictures that you posted. When it snows here at the Jersey shore which is not usually that much, it doesn’t last long because of the salt content. It’s not as pretty to look at like it was where we used to live inland. It all dissipates so fast. Thank you for posting these pictures if was fun to get a glimpse of what it looks like there Sharon k
ReplyDeletePrayers for quick healing of your husband. Hope you guys can make it back down here soon.
DeleteWow snow on the beach that is wild! It is crazy how much snow the south got. I heard it was 10 degrees in some spots. Great photos!
