Wow, this year is almost over and I just noticed I have not written a blog post since October. Life has been so busy. We have had some unfortunate circumstances the past few months that honestly I’d rather not blog about. Nothing terrible, we are all fine, just hard times in life right now, and to add to it, I’m sitting here fighting off Covid.
I woke up the day after Christmas feeling like I’ve been hit by a truck. One day of fever and pain, one day of cough and congestion, and now just fighting the lingering effects. I will go back to work tomorrow not feeling 100%. But do we ever really feel 100% as we age? I will just keep to myself in my little cube and have a mask handy if anyone approaches my space. I’m only required to stay out for five days with covid. I have cabin fever and sorta looking forward to getting out of the house.
Christmas was good. My daughter came in to stay with us for a few days and we did the normal family visits on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Me and Nick talked about going to see Christmas lights but we never got around to it. We never even rode through town to see the Christmas lights. That is the first time in several years that we did not ride through town. However, I work uptown, but always avoid main street when I get off due to traffic. I could have easily made time to take the road though. It just never crossed my mind to take that rout home.
Wait… I bet the lights are still on. I believe I will take that rout home tomorrow. Hopefully it will be dark enough.
Did you see Christmas lights this year? Do you ride or walk through them?
Hey Lisa I hope all is well. Wishing you a Happy New Year

ReplyDeleteFirst time commenting here. The new picture of you is model worthy
I don’t have a blog myself but love to read blogs. The blog world is diminishing so it seems which saddens me as I learn about so much reading them Places to travel to ,movies , books, crafting ideas. So please don’t think that your words are not important. Sorry to hear about any issues and sickness you’ve been walking through. We all seem to have stuff at some point. Hopefully the new year will be good to you. Blessings Sharon k.
Thank you so much for the kind words. You have no idea how much just knowing I have other readers out there will spark my motivation to write more. I do plan to start blogging regularly again. It is so relaxing.
DeleteOh so sorry to hear you have Covid and life isn't so easy for you right now. Hope all is well soon.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people leave their lights on all night and I see a lot of them in town when I'm walking in the morning. It's still dark when I walk so it's nice to see the lights.
Thank you. Your walks are always so pretty looking, I can imagine you walking in snow with those lights. I bet that would be beautiful.
DeleteI'm with HappyK. and do hope the Covid GOES AWAY! Yep we all have those times and they are though to get thru. Hang in there and hold onto St Nick. YES we did get to go to a small town called Mt. Dora here in Florida. They are fantastic with lights. They do bring joy.
ReplyDeletepraying all turns out on the good side up there. We will head back in March.
Love from Leesburg
I sure would love to be where you are right now. I am not a fan of this cold weather.
DeleteUgh this happened to me last year I started feeling sick on Christmas Eve by the end of the day i was really sick with fever, chills body aches, a bad headache and nausea. That lasted for 2 days that gave way to a very bad dry cough with fever and chills I was sick all through the holidays and New Year and when I went back to work 2 weeks later I was not fully recovered it was awful.
ReplyDeleteLOL do we ever really feel %100 as we age, too true! Yes lets hope 2025 is a good year.

Yes! Exactly me without the nausea. I have gone back to work but still felling off. Stuffy head and brain fog. I get better each day though.
