If you want my opinion, I do not believe the mask work in preventing the spread of this virus. They could eliminate some germs from others but I still believe social distancing and washing your hands and surfaces are the best remedy. I feel like the mask mandate is a way the government is trying to control us. But thats just me.
I actually have my mask with me everywhere I go. If I have to wear it to get in the door, so be it. I will put it on not to cause any controversy. Usually once I am in the store I will drop the mask off one ear and carry on with my shopping. It’s my right. However, if I am in an area of the store where several people are around me, I will simply put my mask back on out of respect. I do respect others concerns for their own health. If I unfortunately catch the virus, I will stay at home and hope and pray I get though it.
Why has no one wanted to wear a mask during flu season? Again, during flu season I take extra precautions on touching my face and keeping my hands washed. But still, why not a mask?
No matter what someone chooses to do, why is it anyone else business? Why do you feel its your place to scold those for not wearing a mask or to make fun of those that choose to wear a mask? I see this happening every day on social media. If you are afraid to be around someone not wearing a mask, simply avoid them. If someone chooses to wear a mask, respect their decision.
Speaking of mask, check out this hand made card I created for my Etsy shop the other day. Cute huh?
Hi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you 100%.. Fauci came out recently saying something about now wearing goggles. Personally I think he's a fraud and a nut and maybe a few other things...and I"m really sick of the "social justice warriors".. next time I see someone wearing a mask eating fast food I"ll proceed to tell them how bad that fast food is.. It's getting to that point.. As a nation if all this ridiculousness isn't stopped we are done.. Love the card you made. It's adorable!!
I had a hard time breathing with my mask on the other day.
ReplyDeleteI think this time will actually be turned for good for us. We'll see. This is all for a reason.
It is common sense to respect others' concerns about their health. I will not fight nor fuss about someone else's choice to do or don't, until it steps on my toes, then it is my problem.
ReplyDeleteIt is very complicated, this time in our lives..... BUT WE WILL SURVIVE, this is a great country, THE BEST.
Always enjoy the visit to your house. and Also like the card, nice.
Love ya

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion. But I live in NYC and I am going to guess that if you saw refrigerated trucks in the street holding corpses you might take it a little more seriously. If you watched exhausted doctors sobbing on the street. The science backs mask wearing (almost EVERYONE here is still wearing them) Some Americans lack of concern for others is why we are still knee deep in this pandemic and other countries are safely reopening.
ReplyDeleteIMO although I am most particular that my rights are not trodden on I do not think in the circumstances of a world pandemic that individual rights can be considered. Extraordinary circumstances calls for unprecedented measures. If masks help in anyway to control the spread of the virus then they must be used by all. I live in a country where the government has decreed that masks are compulsory. Who does not wear a masks risks a very hefty fine. In my case I find wearing a mask quite suffocating and it produces sores across my face if I wear it for too long! Nevertheless, just the thought of infecting someone due to any negligence on my part should it be lack of wearing a mask or not respecting social distancing is something I really cannot contemplate. stay safe Amanda
ReplyDeleteback during the wars. soldiers and families sacrificed for the greater good. and we became a better country because of it. these current crisises has shown the selfishness of people. they're all about the me, me, me. i need my haircut. i want a pedicure. i can't do this or that. they are acting like spoiled children. i wear a mask. i coordinate it to go with my outfit. my grandparents almost died in 1918. lessons from then, should have taught
ReplyDeleteus. like the card. it fits the times we find ourselves in.
The mask issue has caused so much controversy. Personally I wear a mask anytime I leave the house to go somewhere. I hate wearing the mask, but you're not going to see me without it. I feel like no one should cause a possible altercation with another person if they're not wearing a mask since things can escalate quickly.
